Child Safety

Children are curious about many things found in the home, here at Lilly’s we understand this and we know how important it is for children to be kept safe and secure. This is why all our blinds come with cord free mechanism or come with a safety mechanism in line with the latest European regulations.

Cordless Designs

When choosing blinds for children’s rooms you should consider designs that operate without cords or chains. We have different options to choose from depending on your window type and the choice you make for window covering.

We can install perfect fit frames which click in place between the beading and the glass of the upvc window, which is made to measure casing. There are no operating cords at all, the blinds are controlled using a simple tab also our pleated and roller blinds can be installed in this way.

Another option at Lilly’s is cord an chain free luxury roller blinds.

You can have a fully motorised option for your blinds removing any need or chain or wand which are operated with a remote control.

All our blinds can come as wand or cords chain operated as requirements as standard.

Child Safety Devices.

By law, designs with cords and chain must be secured with child safety devices irrespective whether you have or not. This is because you might be visited by a child time to time or if you decide to relocate yourself, the blinds you leave behind must be safe for the new owners.

All our standard blinds Roman, Venetian, Wooden and vertical blinds are installed with a cleat for the controls to be wrapped. The cleat is fitted 1.5mm above the ground.

Another safety feature of curtain blinds is they have breakaway components when curtain amount of force is applied to them. They can be easily be reassembled if you pull the controls too hard and they end up breaking away accidentally.
